What We Do2018-09-13T03:23:18+00:00

Note: CMC:Foundation does not provide direct clinical care. Instead, we send trainers directly into community groups and organizations to teach strategies that research has shown to be effective in helping substance users.

Training in the Invitation to Change Approach

Parents and family members of those struggling with substance use issues are incredibly motivated to help their loved one, yet they often face huge barriers to getting the support they deserve and guidance that works. The CMC:Foundation for Change has developed affordable, accessible resources to give these parents and families the skills they need to understand the problems they face and help them approach them effectively and with compassion.

CMC:Foundation for Change and the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids have teamed up to develop a support network for parents of children struggling with substance abuse and addiction. This innovative project trains parent volunteers to be coaches using evidence-based techniques to help guide other parents through the difficult maze of dealing with substance abuse.

In addition to conducting trainings and workshops, CMC:Foundation for Change has compiled the best resources available to families. For more information, click the link below.
